The Tsinghua-NTU Global Science Communication Dual Degree Master’s Program (referred to as the THU-NTU Program) is a three-year dual master’s degree program initiative launched in 2024 through collaboration between Tsinghua University’s School of Journalism and Communication and Nanyang Technological University’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information in Singapore. It admits distinguished Chinese and international students, who will earn master’s degrees from both institutions.

Training Objectives

As scientific research deepens and technology advances rapidly, the need for skilled science and technology communicators is significantly increasing. The THU-NTU Program acts as a bridge in science communication, aiming to develop high-level, specialized talents who thoroughly understand scientific principles and communication strategies, and who have an international outlook, scientific literacy, strategic thinking, and innovative skills.

The program seeks to foster an objective and rational global dialogue on technology, improve scientific literacy among the public, assist Chinese and international tech firms in developing strategic communication strategies for international cooperation, and promote global innovation and progress in science and technology.

This program creates an open, diverse intercultural learning environment, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice. Its teaching philosophy aligns closely with industry trends, providing students with a balanced educational experience that combines academic rigor with practical skills. This approach enhances their academic literacy, communication, and strategic thinking, preparing them to become future leaders in science and technology communication.
