Professor SHI, Anbin, Associate Dean of International Development, speaks on CCTV on December 8th, 2014, to analyze the recent changes on internet governance: European Parliament's decision on splitting Google Europe; the first Internet Conference in Wuzhen (Water Town), China and China's Internet Chief, Mr. LU Wei's visit to US. These events show the collapse of "internet freedom" advocated by the US in the wake of Snowden Crisis and the increasing monopoly of such US companies as Facebook, Google, etc. The idea of "internet sovereignty" adhered by China gained more consensus around globe. Remains to the core is how China led other developing countries to challenge the US-centrism and to establish the United Nations of Internet, as China has still a long way to go to improve its own way of internet governance.
