Representatives of the Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication and APCO, a worldwide consultancy in public affairs and strategic communication, met March 28 and discussed areas of possible collaboration. The delegation was led by Mr. Gregory Gilligan,the managing director of APCO Worldwide Beijing office. YIN Hong executive Dean of TSJC, SHI Anbin, Associate Dean of TSJC, Professor HANG Min and Professor James Breiner, co-director of Global Business Journalism Program, attended the meeting.

Cooperation in academic research and training programs as well as resource sharing were identified as areas of immediate interest. The two sides also discussed the possibility of providing internship opportunities for TSJC students and of having APCO provide guest speakers.

Moreover, they agreed to explore the possibility of attending the 10-year anniversary of TSJC this May.

Both sides hope to reach a cooperation agreement which would cover various aspects of collaboration and try to establish a long-term relationship between APCO and TSJC.
