Students&#39 DV Works Winning National Awards

Two documentaries produced by the students of TSJC, "Eyes Left" and "Seeking for Beliefs", have won the second and the third prizes respectively in 2010 National Scientific DV Contest' with the theme of 'Life, Survival and Living: an Approach to Science'.

"Eyes Left", directed by PhD candidate Liang Junjiang, and produced by the undergraduates Chen Hongyi, Chen Yuxuan and Guo Weisong, shows the full picture of the Tsinghua parade team in the 60th National anniversary celebration. "Seeking for Beliefs" compiling the undergraduate students' work in the course of 'Film and TV production', reflects the different beliefs of people living in Beijing.

2010 National Scientific DV Contest Award Ceremony and Summit Forum was held on August 27th in Kun Ming, Yunnan province. Gong Jijiu and Leng Yefu, the vice president of the documentary working committee of China Associations of Broadcasting and TV, as well as Dai Guanglu, the former vice governer of Yunnan province have attended the ceremony and exchanged opinions on documentary production with winners.

The contest is co-organized by the documentary working committee of China Associations of Broadcasting and TV and Yunnan Science and Technology Library. It aims to promote popular science education and interpret the social responsibility of the public and the spirit of the era.
