President of Tsinghua University Gu Binglin together with the delegation visited several Universities in the United States from April 4 to 16, and carried out exchange activities with some of the most famous universities. Professor Li Xiguang, President of International Center for Communications Studies, Professor Shi Anbin, Associate Dean of J&C School, and two undergraduate students (Lin Yin, Yuan Feina) were in the delegation.

The delegation visited University of California Berkeley, Stanford University, University of Chicago, Northwestern University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Columbia University.

Professor Shi Anbin, Li Xiguang, Dong Guanpeng and Fan Hong carried out international exchange activities at Journalism and Communication schools and programs in ten well-known universities, including California Berkeley, Stanford University, Arizona State University, Purdue University, Northwestern University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, New York University and Columbia University. And the Journalism and Communication schools and programs of the ten universities agreed to receive young Chinese scholars and PhD candidates to have training and exchange study there. They also reached a preliminary agreement on the joint training of Master (PhD), co-organized international conferences, summer schools and international training projects.
