Professor Li Xiguang, President of Tsinghua International Center for Communication Studies, led a delegation to visit Pakistan from Feb 23 to 28, upon the special invitation from President Asif Ali Zardari. President Zardari received the delegation at his office.

He believed that there would be more opportunities for Pakistan and China to work jointly on cultural and educational issues, and he wished that Tsinghua International Center for Communication Studies and Tsinghua-Pakistan Culture and Communication Center could continue contributing to the research and promotion of Pakistan culture.

The delegation visited Archaeological Ruins at Moenjodaro, during when they had a deep discussion with officials of Pakistan government and Pakistan International Center for Strategic Studies about the situation in Afghanistan and the Sino-Pakistan relationship.

After discussion, it is expected that Tsinghua International Center for Communication Studies and Tsinghua-Pakistan Culture and Communication Center will hold the “Moenjodaro Cultural Week” later this year.
