The Comprehensive AIDS Research Center of Tsinghua University will hold the first Global Health Forum on September 17. Dr. Peter Piot, UNAIDS Executive Director and Under Secretary-General of the United Nations, will deliver a speech to mark the occasion under the topic ’25 Years of HIV/AIDS, the Role of Leadership’ during this event.

The Monthly forum will discuss global health issues, such as HIV/AIDS, tobacco controll, impact of poverty and inequality, as well as some global health initiatives and the changing nature of the public health problems being faced globally.

Tsinghua University Comprehensive AIDS Research Center (CARC) was founded on November 27, 2007. The Comprehensive AIDS Research Center is a cross-disciplinary research center co-established by Tsinghua University’s School of Medicine, School of Journalism and Communication, and school of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr. David D. Ho is the first Director of CARC.
