TSINGHUA, Oct. 10 -- Tsinghua Global Leaders Forum was held at Global Source Hall in School of Journalism and Communication Wednesday night. Marry Laurence Flynn, Senior Foreign Producer on “NBC Nightly News”, gave the first lecture for the forum.

Within the one hour lecture, Ms. Flynn introduced how the US media, especially NBC, cover global issues, what make good stories, how to be unique, how to ask good questions and so on.

The audience was deeply attracted by her speech, many of them raised questions. For example, how does NBC cover the Chinese food safety, and were the war correspondents who died for “speedy news” worth dying? Ms. Flynn seriously answered each question.

When asked how to keep young and charming under busy work, Ms. Flynn said, “It’s very easy! I love what I do.”

Tsinghua Global Leaders Forum aims to invite 100 leaders in every field of work all over the world to give lectures before centennial anniversary of Tsinghua University to enrich students’ knowledge and shape global vision.
