    Dr. Lu obtained the doctoral degree in the department of communication, Texas A&M University, and joined the school in 2009. His works appeared in a number of leading international journals, including Media, Culture & Society, New Media & Society, International Communication Gazette, Journal of International and Intercultural Communication, and International Journal of Communication. Because of excellence in research, he received the 2010 Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Doctoral Research, which is the highest honor for doctoral students in Texas A&M University. Meanwhile, he was offered the 2010-2011 Yahoo! Fellow in International Values, Communication, Technologies and Global Internet. This position was jointly sponsored by Yahoo and the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy, Georgetown University, to study the global Internet development in non-Western countries. Meanwhile, he is the Associate Editor of Global Media Journal (Chinese edition) and will serve in the editorial board of Journal of International and Intercultural Communication in the coming three years.
